Nottingham Lions roared to the Division B title with a five-star performance against Hotscots in Edinburgh. The top-spot finish sets up a quarter-final fixture against the 4th placed team from Division A in March.

The Lions got off to a strong start with a strong link up between Sean M and Adam W, with Sean slotting the ball away.

First half chances were in short supply, partly due to playing into the high winds and rain of Storm Dennis and partly to a resilient Hotscots rearguard.

Despite the worsening conditions the visitors stayed strong and determined. Andrew T and Jake M forming a formidable unit to break down the Scots attacks.

HT 0-1

With the wind in their favour for the second half, Asher made an immediate impact to the game with a quick brace and claiming his first goal. Then he left the Scots stunned with a blistering run neatly finished his shot low into the corner.

The Hotscots got back into the game but James restored the 3-goal cushion with a riffled long range goal.

James helped to make it 5 through a link up with Mitch D who put the ball into the corner.

Andrew T produced a captains performance to help inspire the victory. He formed a solid partnership with Jake M to snuff out danger He kept the team disciplined, organised and focused to fend off both the Hotscots and Storm Dennis!
